More Calls Needed on DNR License Fee Package

The State House Bill (HB 4668) which includes the Michigan Department of Natural Resources license fee package has now been introduced and will be up for discussion on Wednesday (5/8) in House Committees.

Amy Trotter, Resource Policy Manager for MUCC provides us with the following update:

“Many of you supported the license fee increase directly through letters/testimony in the House/Senate as well as the Coalition letter. The bill has finally been introduced (HB 4668) late last week and is already up for discussion this Wednesday in the House.”

Committee Appropriations: Natural Resources

Calls of support to your State legislator are needed now and as we continue through this process.  As we have previously written, Michigan needs a license fee structure which has the capacity to fund wildlife, fisheries and natural resource management in a sustainable manner.
